quick answer: Antigravity vs Cursor comes down to "editor with agents" vs "agents with an editor". Cursor ranks higher on our board (#2 of 13 coding agents, 8.5/10) because it's the best place to have ai inside a full editor, with cloud agents and code reviews bolted on when you pay. Google Antigravity (#7, 7.5/10) is agent-first: an app for running several local agents in parallel, plus a CLI and an IDE, and the individual plan costs $0.
the short version
| Cursor | Google Antigravity | |
|---|---|---|
| our rank | #2, 8.5/10 | #7, 7.5/10 |
| what it is | an ai editor with an agent, plus cloud agents, Bugbot reviews and code hosting via Origin on Premium and up | an agentic platform: the Antigravity App (many local agents in parallel), a CLI, a full IDE and a Python SDK |
| free | limited ai usage | individual $0: unlimited Tab and Command requests, basic weekly agent limits |
| paid | Plus $8/mo (Grok models only), Premium $30, Super $100, Ultra $200, Teams $30+/user | more limits and a flexible ai credit pool on paid tiers; Business plan via Google Cloud |
| models | Grok models in the plan; third-party models at API list price, billed separately (Premium and up) | "a variety of agent models", with the latest Gemini models on the top tier |
ranks and scores come straight from our coding agents board, and nobody pays to move up it.
why Cursor ranks higher
the editor is the product. tab, chat and an agent all live where you read and edit code, so you steer every diff without leaving the file. if your day is mostly "change this, check that, next", it's the smoother ride.
the paid extras are proper. Premium and up add cloud agents and automations, Bugbot ai code reviews and code hosting via Origin, all on one bill. the usage pool refreshes weekly, so one heavy afternoon doesn't eat the month.
the catch is models. Plus at $8 is Grok models only. Premium and up include Grok usage, but Claude or GPT in Cursor is billed separately at API list price. so a Claude-all-day habit means a plan and a meter. more in Cursor pricing.
where Antigravity wins
it's built around agents, not around a text box. the Antigravity App is a command centre for several local agents running in parallel: group chats into projects, work across multiple workspaces and schedule routine jobs. if you want to hand off three tasks and review the results, that's the shape of it.
it costs nothing to try properly. the individual plan is $0 with unlimited Tab completions, unlimited Command requests and basic weekly rate limits on the agents. that's why it's #7 on our board: the best way to find out whether multi-agent coding suits you before paying for anything.
it comes in four shapes. the app for agents, a terminal-first CLI with background subagents, the full IDE with the agent manager and artifacts, and an SDK for prototyping your own agents on Antigravity's harness in Python. Google Cloud customers on the Business plan also get it inside other IDEs via extensions.
the honest bit: free means basic weekly limits. lean on the agents all week and you'll meet them. Google doesn't print a standalone Antigravity price on its pricing page; more limits come with the paid tiers, and the top one gets the latest Gemini models.

faq
is Antigravity better than Cursor?
not on our board. Cursor is #2 with 8.5/10 and Google Antigravity is #7 with 7.5/10. Cursor wins on the editor and the paid extras; Antigravity wins on running agents in parallel and on price, because the individual plan is $0.
is Google Antigravity free?
yes, for individuals: $0 a month with unlimited Tab completions, unlimited Command requests and basic weekly rate limits on agents. paid tiers raise the limits and add a flexible ai credit pool.
is Cursor free?
there's a free plan with limited agent and chat requests. Plus is $8 a month (Grok models only) and Premium is $30.
does Antigravity have a CLI?
yes. the Antigravity CLI is a terminal-first way to run its agents, execute shell commands and manage background subagents, alongside the app and the IDE.
can i use both?
you can. Antigravity's free plan costs nothing, so running it next to a Cursor plan for parallel agent jobs is a cheap experiment. just keep an eye on which one is touching which branch.
