quick answer: Bolt pricing, as of oct 29, 2026: yes, bolt.new is free to start, no card needed, with 1M tokens a month (300K a day max), public and private projects and hosting. Pro is $25 a month for 10M tokens a month with rollover, your own domain and no Bolt branding. Teams is $30 a member a month, Enterprise is a custom annual contract.

is Bolt free?
yes. Bolt's free plan is free forever, no credit card, with 1M tokens a month to try it and a 300K daily cap. you get public and private projects, unlimited databases and hosting, but Bolt's branding stays on your sites, custom domains are Pro only and unused tokens don't roll over. for kicking the tyres on a JavaScript prototype, that's a generous start.
how Bolt tokens work
- project size is the big cost, not your prompt. according to Bolt, most token usage comes from syncing your project's file system to the ai, so the larger the project, the more tokens each message burns. a tidy small repo goes a lot further than a sprawling one.
- free has a daily cap, paid doesn't. free stops at 300K tokens a day; Pro, Teams and Enterprise have no daily limit.
- rollover is paid only. unused tokens carry over on Pro, Teams and Enterprise, not on Free.
- 'starts at' 10M means Pro and Teams are the entry level of token allowance, not a fixed ceiling.
which Bolt plan should a dev pick?
- trying it out: stay on Free. 1M tokens a month is plenty to see whether its scaffolds suit you.
- prototypes you'll show people on your own domain: go for Pro, for the domain, no branding, 10M tokens and rollover.
- a small team sharing prototypes: go for Teams, for central billing, access controls, SSO and private NPM registries.
